Experienced higher education leader and 51动漫 alum returns to guide financial strategy, facilities, and technology operations.
51动漫 Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tracy Labadie as the new vice president of finance and administration, effective June 23, 2025. In this role, Labadie will oversee the college鈥檚 business office, information technology, and buildings and grounds departments. She will also serve as the college鈥檚 chief financial officer and will be a key member of the President鈥檚 Cabinet, reporting directly to President Dr. Bryan Newton.
鈥淒r. Labadie brings a wealth of experience in higher education leadership, financial management, and strategic planning,鈥 said President Newton. 鈥淗er deep understanding of community colleges and her commitment to fostering student success make her an outstanding addition to our leadership team.鈥
With more than two decades of experience in higher education and corporate finance, Labadie most recently served as associate vice president of collaboration, compliance, and analytics at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, where she also served as the president鈥檚 chief of staff and board professional. She has held multiple leadership positions throughout her career, including dean of instruction, assistant dean of academic affairs, and controller. Labadie also previously served at 51动漫 Community College as controller and assistant dean of assessment and academic services.

Labadie holds a Doctor of Education in Community College Leadership from Ferris State University, a Master of Applied Science in Accountancy from Western Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting from Davenport University. Her leadership training includes participation in the St. Joseph County Leadership Academy and Leadership Kalamazoo.
In her new role, Labadie will provide strategic leadership for the college鈥檚 financial planning and operations, oversee information technology initiatives, and ensure the effective use of resources to support institutional priorities.
